Another great night in Marble Falls, Texas!

(Marble Falls, Texas...) -- Starting at River City Grill, John Arthur Martinez put on a hell of a show with Kurt Baumer on the fiddle and Eddie Flores on percussion. Once again, I was amazed by the talent on that stage. I was invited onstage to play a few songs with these guys. What an honor! You can catch John Arthur every Wednesday at River City Grill. Highly recommended.

The night didn’t end there. We all went up the road to AJ’s Ale House where Debbi Walton and Donnie Price were ROCKING the house. We finished out the night listening to guest performer, Jon Inman, one of the finest guitar players out of Austin. You can catch Debbi Walton and Donnie Price at AJ’s Ale House in Marble Falls on Wednesday nights and Jon Inman at Poodie’s Hilltop Roadhouse on Tuesday afternoons.

Austin Songwriters Group 8th Annual Songwriter's Symposium

(Austin, Texas...) -- This year's symposium, which was organized by Lee Duffy and Rick Busby, offered an array of workshops for local songwriters. Each workshop provided vital industry news and tips from the pros, including recording techniques and song critiques. One of the greatest benefits of the ASG Symposium was the opportunity to meet individually with a top publisher from Nashville. Many thanks go out to Lee and Rick for their work and year-long dedication.

Pickin' in the Pines

(Flagstaff, Arizona...) -- This September, Wake attended the annual Pickin' in the Pines bluegrass festival with his wife Jeanine and their long-time friends, Chuck and Nikki. The setting for the festival in the tall pines is top-notch, as is the talent it brings in. Wake and his buddies enjoyed listening to the headliners and playing around the campfire. The festival community in Flagstaff truly comes together on the campground. Musicians of every stature join in to create some of the most moving, free form tunes. The impromptu bluegrass drifted through the campground and played on until the early morning. If you are a fan of bluegrass, don't miss out on this festival next September!

Wake Eastman Interviewed by Cleveland's Country Radio Station

(Cleveland, Ohio...) -- Wake was recently highlighted as an up and coming country artist by Cleveland's Country Radio station, WGAR 99.5. "Wake's music flows in many directions, but the true vein lies within the traditional sounds of Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, and Billy Joe Shaver. Yet his story songs have a contemporary edge, not just in content, but the way his vocals deliver the songs with soulful grit."
